What Researchers Need to Know About Buying Peptides Online
Common questions from the research community about peptide sourcing, verification, and safe handling.
Research-grade peptides are synthesized for laboratory studies and are not intended for human or animal consumption. They may lack the extensive clinical testing required for pharmaceutical use but should still meet high purity standards verified by HPLC analysis.
Always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) from your supplier. The COA should include HPLC purity data, mass spectrometry confirmation, and batch-specific testing results. Reputable suppliers provide COAs with every order.
Most lyophilized peptides should be stored at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with BAC water, peptides should be refrigerated at 2-8°C and used within the timeframe specified in the product documentation.
